Outerbanksvideos.com is the place for videos about the Outer Banks.

The site was created and curated by Kenyon Productions — Douglas and Jannie Kenyon — a married team of passionate video artists living and working in the Outer Banks.
Douglas

Douglas

Principal, Videographer

After going through The School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s entire video curriculum I took my skills to the streets and spent years documenting the Chicago skate scene. I also earned a BA from Columbia, where I studied public relations and marketing, which to me, are just different kinds of art and story telling. In 2005 I moved to the Outer Banks for a change of scene and to be closer to family. I landed a gig marketing a local artisan coffee chain, and while making their TV commercials my love of videography returned and I came full circle back into video. How I edit: I learned to edit on physical tape-based systems, a method where there is no going back, once you make an edit you’re stuck with it. So you gotta feel your editing. Thats how I still work today, I feel it.

Principal, Videographer

I am a native of the historical town of Manteo on Roanoke Island, growing up in the sand and sun. I've always had a passion for photography since I was a child, and as Douglas was reconnecting with his video roots I was becoming more interested in photography and now videography as well. Together we decided to quit our day jobs and make videos full time. When we’re not out shooting or editing, we’re spending time with our boys; going on bike rides, hanging at the beach, attending sports games, and shredding at the skatepark. They keep us flexible, playful, and young at heart, an attitude we bring to every job.
